ELDERLY RESIDENCE

VALMOJADO (Toledo) | 2000-2003

The promoter, Antonio Poveda, a man of advanced age and lucid intelligence, decides to promote a first-class nursing home and later, in an absolutely altruistic way, donate it to the Archbishopric of Toledo, so that it is destined for needier elder people.

The building is projected on a site with very restrictive regulations regarding the building area.

On the other hand, it is intended to make the most of the capacity of rooms.

The composition scheme is entirely rational. The room floors are arranged into three rows, room _ circulation _ room. An access floor where the living and dining areas are located, and a semi-basement floor where the facilities and service items are arranged, such as workshops, doctor and nurse consultations, rehabilitation gyms, etc.

Special attention is paid to the design of the chapel, with the possibility of use by residents and neighbours of the town.
